A mixed programme of music including Frank Martin’s Mass for Double Choir, Jonathan Dove’s Passing of the Year, and Ben Parry’s lively arrangement of It Don’t Mean a Thing. This will be Bath Camerata’s first concert in the newly refurbished Holy Trinity Church in Bradford on Avon.
Alongside Bath Camerata, James Gilchrist (Evangelist) leads a starry line up of some of Europe’s great soloists and players in Bach’s dramatic masterpiece, retelling the story of Jesus’ last days. You won’t find better musicians to perform this amazing work. By turns exciting, beautiful and heart-breaking, this is a concert not to be missed!
To mark its 30th year, Bath Camerata has commissioned three new works from leading composers Will Todd, Roderick Williams, and Owain Park. We will give all these pieces their world premieres at Camerata’s 31st Good Friday at Wells Cathedral.
